Well done ALL! We thank
you for participating in this tourney!
Those were 3 very exciting games with the lead changing several times!
In the first game, we had dirtdevil, Budnotty and Igemini fighting
it out for first place and it wasn’t till the last question that Igemini
snatched the lead from dirtdevil with Budnotty in 3rd place and with less than 500 points separating 1st and 3rd place.
In the 2nd game, another nail biter between
Igemini and Whistle with just over 100 points separating them in 1st
and 2nd place with Aflyingtiger, the dark horse in this tournament
(in my opinion) a close 3rd.
In the 3rd game (If I recall correctly), Igemini
took the lead early and held on till the end with Whistle finishing a strong 2nd
and Barbieb not far behind in 3rd place.
Congratulations to our winning team, MiniMel! Igemini was the
undeniable star of this tournament and Melcronin’s fine showing earned them the
lovely prize of Anzac Cookies from Australia! (I will consult privately with both of you
regarding the prize).
The game was so fiercely competitive that we have a tie in 2nd
place! Well done The Flowergirls (Whistle & onho1) and TigersAreCute (Aflyingtiger & CornishCutypie2007), both teams
played an excellent game!
In 3rd place we have the team Meggie and Mom (Meggieclare &
dirtdevil) who would have had a much higher score were it not for getting booted
during the 3rd game. Well
done to you both!
In 4th place we have BarbieBoo (Barbieb & boo1969) who despite getting booted during
the first game (as I recall) played a very good game!
And in 5th place we have team Cosmo (Budnotty & Junglero) whose
low score is only due to Budnotty having to leave during the 2nd
game and Junglero plagued by computer problems that made it impossible for him
to compete. So sorry guys, I wish you
better luck in the next one!
I would like to add that fruitcakeliz, JimHalpert,
Dominique, Redflare and Kafka, though not in the tournament, they did
particularly well! I have my eye on you
guys; consider yourselves roped in for future tourneys!
Apologies for taking so long to post the results – I am the
guilty party. During the first game I
was booted twice, the second time before I could get a screenshot of the
results and just as the tournament finished, I had other unavoidable
interruptions here at home. It was my first tournament; please make allowances for
this novice.
And last but not least, I would like to thank Attila, my
“partner in crime” in organizing this tournament. I have it on good authority that the next
tournament will be either in the Big Easy or General (no sports), so secure
your partner of choice before someone else beats you to it and keep checking
this forum for future announcements.
