Tournament Announcement
We warmly invite all players to participate in the following tournament:
Location: Science room
Date: Thursday, 15th May, 2008
Time: Pacific time:7pm, Central time:9pm, Eastern time:10pm
Scoring: Only top 10 players registered will be scored (not just first page). Tournament results will be based on scores as they appear in IT (Interactrivia) at the end of each game. Winner will be awarded 10 points, 2nd place will receive 9 points, 3rd place 8 points and so forth.
Results: Final Team scores, including individual scores for each team member will be posted here shortly after each tournament.
Other details: The tournament will consist of 3 games. Participation will be in the form of teams, 2 players each team. Teams may collaborate via pm's. Participating teams must register team & team members here (below this announcement) at least 2 hours prior to commencement of tournament.
So grab a partner and come join the fun! See you there!
(If this tournament is successful, we plan for additional tournaments in other rooms).

We ask all non participating players that may be playing in Science room during the above tournament to assist us by observing the following: -
- To refrain from shouting out answers.
- To keep this tournament honest by not assisting tournament players via pm’s.
- To keep chat and pm’s to a minimum as this could delay pm collaboration between tournament players.
We thank you for your cooperation during this tournament. TOURNAMENT ADMIN. (or whatever other name we choose).

Can I ask a favour, though - is it possible for times to be posted as UTC (used to be called GMT), as well as local times?
There are a lot of us outside the US who would love to join in, but don't want to turn up late ;*)

Ooooh - 7pm Pacific is 3am (Friday 16th) (UK) - but that will be British Summer Time so I guess it's 2am (Friday 16th) UTC
Or maybe not :P |
