I've found the up and down buttons awkward because you seem to have to click every line and if it gets stuck for half an hour it takes forever to get up to date.. would it be possible to have scroll bar there instead?

Press and hold the arrows to scroll through chat more quickly. We'll consider the scroll bar for a future update.
